Make your own Handmade Watercolour Paints!

Shelby will go over the basics of how the binder and pigments work together to make paint, the tools and supplies needed, safety precautions, how to mull your own paints by hand, how to fill your pans and dry them, and cleanup. Then participants will do one of Shelby's favourite painting exercises and make a unique abstract painting! Participants will make two colours per person, and then share the paints made with the other students in the class. Everyone will go home with a palette full of paint!

All tools and materials will be provided. 3D-printed watercolour palettes will be available for an additional

$15 to put your new paints in,or bring your own palette if you already have one with some space in it! Masks will be provided for safety with pigment dust, but if you have a mask please bring it with you.
